SUMMARY:
Effectively communicate with managers and associates. Practice active listening and communication in a timely manner to managers and captains, providing prompt and thorough follow-through. Maintain fiscal responsibility by reducing waste and working safely. Promote empowerment to resolve guest challenges and proactively increase customer service scores.
Requirements:
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Report to Banquet Captain at scheduled time and in proper uniform. Locate required equipment for table setting. Complete all assigned setups in a timely manner. Execute banquet meal service as instructed. Perform meal and beverage service efficiently and on time. Complete breakdown after each function and return equipment properly. Assist fellow staff as needed. Communicate all necessary information to supervisors. Maintain cleanliness and care of equipment and work areas. Handle guest requests professionally and promptly. Maintain courteous and positive attitude. Adhere to all hotel policies, liquor laws, and safety regulations. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous banquet experience preferred. Basic knowledge of food and beverage. Knowledge of spirits/beer selection. Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations. Strong interpersonal skills.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Previous banquet or food server experience preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Lift up to 25 lbs regularly; occasional lifting of 45 lbs or more. Stand and walk for extended periods.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to communicate clearly in English.
CERTIFICATES & LICENSES
Food Handler Certificate TIPS Certification
WORK ENVIRONMENT
May include exposure to outdoor and inclement weather conditions.
GROOMING & UNIFORM
Uniform must be worn at all times. Hair must be clean and tied back. No extreme hair colors. Maintain clean, trimmed nails. Wear deodorant. No visible offensive tattoos. Name tags must be worn at all times. Pay is $16.90 per hour + tips
