Job Overview Join our vibrant team as a Waitstaff/Hostess and be the welcoming face of our dynamic restaurant! In this energetic role, you will create memorable dining experiences by providing exceptional guest service, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth operations. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help foster a lively, inviting atmosphere where guests feel valued from the moment they arrive. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills while working in a fast-paced, food-focused environment. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations using OpenTable or similar systems, and seat guests efficiently to minimize wait times Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems such as Clover. Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items enhancing guest experience through upselling techniques Serve food and beverages with professionalism, ensuring proper food handling, beverage service, and adherence to food safety standards Assist with bussing tables, maintaining cleanliness in dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth service flow Process cash and credit card transactions accurately while managing cash handling responsibilities with integrity Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues efficiently, and creating a welcoming environment for all patrons Requirements Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor and the ability to handle multiple tables simultaneously Basic math skills for processing sales transactions and managing cash accurately Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and sanitation standards Experience in food handling, food safety practices, and proper sanitation procedures Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a lively hospitality environment Join us to deliver exceptional guest experiences while honing your hospitality expertise!
