Job Description
La Paella is seeking a friendly, attentive, and service-oriented Part-Time Server . As an authentic Spanish cuisine restaurant, we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about hospitality and interested in learning about Spanish food and culture. Responsibilities Welcome and warmly assist guests from the moment they arrive through the completion of their dining experience. Provide attentive, courteous, and professional service while creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Develop a strong knowledge of Spanish cuisine, including dishes, ingredients, and traditional preparations, in order to confidently answer guest questions and provide helpful recommendations. Assist guests with questions regarding menu items. Servers will not be responsible for taking orders , as guests will place their orders independently. Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality. Monitor guest needs throughout their visit and respond promptly to requests or concerns. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary dining environment, including tables, service areas, and restrooms. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance duties such as sweeping, mopping, wiping and sanitizing tables and surfaces, and ensuring guest areas remain neat and presentable. Follow all restaurant sanitation, safety, and service standards. Qualifications Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred. Fluent in English ; Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly preferred . Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Willingness to learn about Spanish cuisine and confidently communicate menu information to guests. Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Must be attentive to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
