Job Description
We are looking for an experienced or willing to learn HR Assistant to join our team within the next 3-4 weeks. We are open to offering a flexible schedule. Human Resources Assistant Position Summary The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the HR department, assisting with recruitment, onboarding, employee records, timekeeping, payroll preparation, and general office operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Essential Responsibilities Coordinate interview scheduling and assist with the recruitment process; including but not limited to monitoring online job postings and assisting with resume screening. Support onboarding activities, including preparing new hire paperwork, background check documentation, and verifying I-9 & E-Verify completion. Maintain accurate employee records, files, and HR documentation. Maintain internal trackers up-to-date & create reminders as needed. Coordinate new hire orientations and training schedules. Respond to basic employee inquiries and provide administrative HR support. Monitor timecards, attendance, absences, and time-off requests; assist with payroll preparation. Assist with benefits enrollment and employee forms. Prepare meeting materials, manage conference room scheduling (if needed), and support HR communications. Assist with employee engagement, recognition programs, and company events. Provide receptionist and general office support as needed. Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information. Stay current on applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Education and Experience High school diploma required; Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 1+ years of administrative, office, or HR support experience preferred but not required. Skills and ability Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong organizational, verbal and written communication, and multitasking skills. Bilingual English and Spanish highly preferred Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Experience with HRIS, or timekeeping systems is a plus. Computer skills Data Entry Hours Monday•Friday (flexible scheduling) minimum of 25 hours per week if part time Hourly rate $20•$23 an hour .
