Job Description Day-to-Day:
  •  Lead all HR functions for the organization
  •  Manage and develop the HR team
  •  Drive compliance, employee relations, and workforce initiatives
  •  Handle sensitive employee issues, investigations, and disciplinary actions
  •  Partner with executive leadership on organizational strategy
  •  Support labor relations and union contract preparation/negotiations
  •  Oversee HR systems, policies, and processes
  •  Present HR initiatives to executive leadership and stakeholders
  •  Develop employee engagement, retention, and career development programs
  •  Evaluate and improve departmental structure and effectiveness

Insight Global is seeking an HR Director for a leading public transportation organization. This individual will serve as a strategic HR leader responsible for driving organizational effectiveness, employee relations, compliance, labor relations, and HR operations. The ideal candidate is a strong, decisive leader who can bring structure, accountability, and credibility to the HR function while partnering closely with executive leadership. This role will play a key part in workforce planning, department optimization, union-related initiatives, and creating long-term employee development strategies. Skills and Requirements Must-Haves:
  •  10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience o Experience leading HR teams of 10+ employees o Strong employee relations and performance management background o Union contract negotiation experience o Deep knowledge of HR compliance, labor laws, and employment regulations o Experience with HRIS systems o Experience presenting to executives, boards, and employee groups o Experience leading retirement-related communications and planning • Government, public sector, transportation, or comparable industry experience • Current or recent HR Director (or higher-level HR leadership) role • Multiple HR certifications preferred/expected (SHRM, HRCI, etc.

)

Compensation:

150-190k Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
