Job Description

Human Resources Generalist / Specialist Role Overview We are seeking a customer-focused, organized, and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to serve as a primary point of contact for employees and leadership, providing comprehensive, end-to-end HR support across multiple service channels. In this role, you will balance real-time inquiries with managing an active queue of cases in our HR case management system, interpreting policies, executing HR transactions, and ensuring data integrity across all personnel records. This is a dynamic, high-impact HR operations role for an adaptable professional who excels at problem-solving and communication. You will partner closely with staff and leadership to administer benefits, facilitate onboarding and offboarding, maintain performance appraisal programs, and support broader organizational human resources initiatives while upholding strict confidentiality.   • Multi-Channel Service Delivery:
    Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers, responding promptly to inquiries, researching questions, and guiding stakeholders through HR policies and procedures.
  • Case Management:
    Manage, track, and resolve employee requests submitted through the HR case management system, ensuring timely turnaround and a consistent, high-quality customer experience.
  • Issue Escalation:
    Coordinate and escalate complex employee relations or operational issues to specialized HR teams while maintaining visibility through resolution. Lifecycle Administration & Data Integrity
  • Transactions & Records:
    Accurately process new hires, terminations, promotions, salary adjustments, and position/requisition requests within the HRIS; maintain meticulous personnel files and data integrity.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding:
    Coordinate new hire orientation programs, review orientation survey feedback, manage employment offer packets, and execute exit interviews and offboarding workflows.
  • Performance Appraisals:
    Monitor and support the organization's performance appraisal system, preparing and distributing reports in accordance with departmental guidelines. Benefits Coordination & Compliance
  • Benefit Operations:
    Administer employee benefits, coordinate open enrollment, handle qualifying life events, and manage benefit add/drops.
  • Claims & Regulatory Compliance:
    Assist staff with benefit claims resolution, ensuring all processes comply with COBRA, ERISA, and internal policy guidelines.
  • Job Description Maintenance:
    Assist in preparing and annually reviewing job descriptions for accuracy, proposing changes and making revisions as needed. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Qualifications
  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience utilizing a professional 2:1 experience-to-education ratio).
  • Experience Baseline:
    Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in human resources administration, office support, or clerical operations within an HR environment.

Technical & Functional Mastery:
oWorking knowledge of state and federal employment laws, HR policies, and benefits administration (COBRA, ERISA). oProven experience utilizing HR case management systems and HRIS platforms (experience with SuccessFactors is a strong advantage). oProficient computer skills using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and keyboarding proficiency.
  • Core Competencies:
    Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities; highly organized with an unwavering commitment to data privacy and confidentiality. Preferred Attributes
  • Adaptable quick learner with a self-starter mindset and strong prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in shared-service or multi-site organizational environments supporting diverse workforce populations.
