Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Paralegal for a contract opportunity in Rosemead, CA, supporting commercial contract review, procurement contracting, legal operations, and contract lifecycle processes within the energy and utilities industry. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys drafting, redlining, negotiating support, and improving contract quality in a high-volume business environment. You will work closely with Legal, Procurement, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders to reduce contractual risk, improve process consistency, and help teams operate more efficiently. This opportunity offers a collaborative environment with exposure to enterprise-level contracting, cross-functional decision-making, and process improvement initiatives. The right candidate will bring strong judgment, clear communication, and the ability to coach others on contract standards, templates, and best practices. Key Responsibilities
  • Review, draft, redline, and support negotiation of commercial contracts, vendor agreements, and procurement-related documents.
  • Assist Procurement Agents with vendor paper, Track Changes, document comparisons, redlines, and contract quality review.
  • Translate business and subject matter expert feedback into clear, accurate, and enforceable contractual language.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure contracts are complete, consistent, compliant, and properly routed.
  • Coach and train Procurement staff and business stakeholders on contract drafting standards, templates, and review processes.
  • Support contract process improvements, job aids, trackers, document organization, version control, and standard work documentation. Compensation and Benefits

    Rosemead, CA. Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Review and draft commercial contracts for quality, compliance, consistency, and risk mitigation.
  • Support contract negotiations, vendor agreement review, redlining, and document comparison.
  • Partner with Legal, Procurement, SMEs, and business leaders to improve contract workflows and outcomes.
  • Train and coach internal stakeholders on contract processes, templates, and review best practices.
  • 5-10+ years of experience in contract administration, paralegal work, legal operations, procurement contracting, or commercial contract support.
  • Strong experience drafting, reviewing, redlining, and supporting negotiation of commercial agreements.
  • Proficiency with vendor paper review, Track Changes, compare documents, version control, and contract lifecycle processes.
  • Ability to translate business requirements and stakeholder feedback into clear contractual language.
  • Experience performing contract quality assurance reviews for compliance, completeness, and consistency.
  • Strong understanding of contract administration, legal operations, procurement contracting, and risk mitigation.
  • Proficiency with SharePoint, document management, and organized contract file maintenance.
  • Excellent written communication, attention to detail, process improvement mindset, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment with Legal teams, Procurement, SMEs, and business leaders. Preferred Qualifications
  • JD, Paralegal Certificate, Contract Management Certification, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in utility, regulated, or large enterprise environments.
  • Experience working directly with Procurement and Legal departments.
  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management systems and SharePoint.
