Full Job Description Schedule:
M-F, 9am-5:30pm Make a Difference Every Day At BGCLAH, the people we hire shape the experiences and opportunities we create for young people. By bringing talented, committed, and caring individuals into the organization, the Talent Acquisition Manager plays an important role in strengthening the quality of our programs and helping create the safe, inspiring places where young people can learn, grow, and belong. The Talent Acquisition Manager independently manages the organization's recruitment and selection processes, while serving as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and the Chief People Officer. The position is responsible not only for executing recruitment activities, but also for determining appropriate recruitment approaches, advising managers on selection practices, identifying and resolving process challenges, and recommending improvements to talent acquisition and related People processes. The majority of BGCLAH's hiring needs are concentrated within programmatic and seasonal positions. As a result, the pace and volume of recruitment will fluctuate throughout the year. During peak hiring periods, the Talent Acquisition Manager will manage a high volume of concurrent recruitments and will need to be highly organized, responsive, and comfortable moving quickly. During periods when recruitment activity slows, the Talent Acquisition Manager is expected to proactively contribute to broader People Team priorities and organizational initiatives.Essential Duties Include:
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned positions, from requisition through offer and onboarding transition Partner with hiring managers to define staffing needs, recruitment strategy, and timelines Manage high-volume, concurrent recruitment during peak seasonal/programmatic hiring periods Develop and maintain sourcing strategies and talent pipelines for recurring and hard-to-fill program roles Review applications, screen candidates, and coordinate interviews with consistent selection practices Guide hiring managers through candidate evaluation, reference checks, and offer decisions Coach and prepare hiring managers to conduct structured, consistent, equitable interviews Administer the internal job posting/mobility process and support internal candidates through it Coordinate recruitment-to-onboarding handoff and support new-hire orientation Proactively support People Team/organizational initiatives unrelated to talent acquisition during slower recruitment periods What You Bring Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible recruiting/talent acquisition experience Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruitment (requisition through onboarding) Experience managing multiple simultaneous openings in a high-volume environment Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with managers, employees, and candidates at all levels Sound judgment and ability to handle confidential/sensitive information Strong follow-through and independent management of deadlines/competing priorities Demonstrated commitment to fair, consistent, inclusive hiring practices Experience with high-volume, seasonal, or cyclical recruitment (nonprofit/youth-serving/education preferred) CPR/First Aid certification (provided upon hire) Must complete all pre-employment clearances (see below) Pre-Employment Requirements All candidates must complete: Background check (including criminal history) TB test Drug & alcohol screening I-9 verification with original documents required What We Offer Employee assistance program Medical/Dental/Vision/Life insurance 401k after one year of service Employee discounts Mission-driven work with a long-term impact Lived Experience Encouraged BGCLAH encourages applications from individuals whose lived experiences reflect those of the students and families we serve — including those who were first-generation college students, grew up in low-income households, experienced foster care, or grew up speaking a language other than English at home / learned English as an additional language.Pay:
