The Development & Wellness Manager plays a critical role in strengthening DISH's organizational culture by supporting both the growth and well-being of staff. This role is responsible for designing and implementing learning and development strategies that build staff capacity, leadership, and effectiveness across the organization. In addition, this role serves as a key resource for staff wellness, aligning wellness initiatives with organization goals, assessing staff needs and creating targeted support programs that focus on physical, mental, and financial wellbeing. This role involves managing events, and tracking program metrics. This position sits at the intersection of people's development and people's care, helping ensure that DISH staff are both equipped to do their work and supported as individuals. The role works closely with the HR Director, leadership team, and site staff to foster a culture of learning, support, and retention across the organization.AGENCY DESCRIPTION

Learning & Development (50%) Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with DISH's organizational goals and values Develop and/or coordinate trainings for staff across all levels, including onboarding, leadership development, and role-specific skill building Partner with department leaders to identify training needs and create targeted development plans Track and evaluate training effectiveness, making continuous improvements based on feedback and outcomes Support managers in building strong teams through coaching tools, performance development resources, and best practices Wellness & Employee Support (50%) Serve as a key resource for staff by providing wellness support and resource navigation, including access to employee assistance program (EAP) services, benefits, and community-based resources Provide direct support to staff navigating complex personal challenges (e.g., housing instability, financial stress, domestic violence), ensuring confidentiality and appropriate referrals Coordinate and facilitate grief and loss support, including staff support circles following resident or colleague loss Lead and support financial wellness education, including coordination with providers (e.g., Empower) to increase staff understanding of retirement and financial benefits Promote awareness and utilization of DISH benefits, ensuring staff understand available supports and how to access them Collaborate with HR, Leadership team and/or supervisors to strengthen a culture of care, retention, and staff well-being Use survey and tracking metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and report results to leadership. Cross-functional Collaboration Partner closely with HR, leadership team, and site teams to align learning, development, and wellness initiatives with organizational priorities Support the development of policies, practices, and internal communications that reinforce staff support and engagement Maintain appropriate documentation and tracking of participation, engagement, and program outcomes Supervisory Responsibilities Provides direct supervision to Development & Wellness Coordinator Supports coaching, development, and performance management of direct report Ensures alignment of day-to-day work with department and organizational priorities Partner with Human Resources to proactively monitor and implement compliance protocols, ensuring the team operates within regulatory and internal guidelines.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
3-5 years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, Organizational Development, or a related field At least 1 year of experience supporting employee wellness, benefits navigation, or staff support services (e.g., EAP, case management, HR support, or similar) Strong facilitation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences across roles and levels Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment Experience supporting or working with individuals navigating complex life challenges (e.g., housing instability, grief, trauma, or financial stress) strongly preferred High emotional intelligence with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion, empathy, and professionalism Strong communication and relationship-building skills; able to build trust across frontline staff, managers, and leadership Experience working in nonprofit, social services, or supportive housing environments preferredPHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to perform moderately difficult manipulative tasks such as typing, writing, etc. Must be able to reach, bend, walk, stand, and sit for extended periods. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move office supplies and/or packages weighing up to 15 lbs. Employee must have the ability to attend meetings, sit, listen, and use computer keyboard and mouse up to 7.5 hours per day. Frequently required to use a computer, phone, copier, and fax machine. Must be able to travel between the DISH Central office and DISH residential properties on a regular basis.WORK ENVIRONMENT
Incumbent will work in an office setting as well as Single Room Occupancy, permanent housing settings with onsite social services for formerly homeless individuals, many of whom have significant mental health, physical health and/or substance use issues. Most of the buildings are about 100 years old and have had varying capital and cosmetic improvements. Typical shifts are weekdays and daytime. Special projects and on-call emergency response require occasional schedule changes.COMPENSATION
This will be a full-time, exempt position. The salary range for this position is $85,000- $90,000 commensurate with experience plus a full benefits package including medical, vision, dental, vacation, paid holidays, sick leave, and a retirement plan.EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY DISH
