Job Description

Job Overview Our certified dog groomers receive 50% commission, plus tips. In addition to providing top-quality grooming services to all breeds and sizes, you will be communicating with pet parents to inform, educate and encourage a partnership for the care of their beloved pet. Your day-to-day work includes trimming fur, cutting/grinding nails, and maintaining overall pet hygiene. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to combine your love for animals with a rewarding career in pet grooming. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, haircutting, and styling tailored to each dog's breed and owner preferences Handle dogs safely, using appropriate animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety for both pets and staff Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, teeth and coat maintenance with precision and care Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming needs and provide advice on pet coat styling and maintenance Maintain a clean, organized grooming area, including sanitation of tools and equipment after each session Assist with animal handling during grooming procedures, ensuring gentle yet effective restraint when necessary Requirements Confident dog handling skills, along with animal restraint knowledge to ensure safe grooming sessions Familiarity with veterinary experience or veterinary assistant skills is a plus for understanding health considerations during grooming Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without injury Excellent communication skills to speak, text and email with pet owners diplomatically and professionally Prior experience in customer service roles within the pet industry is advantageous Join us in creating happy, healthy pets by delivering outstanding grooming services that help all our 4-legged customers look and feel their best! Pay:
$27.59 - $33.23 per hour
