Now Hiring Part-Time Pet Sitters & Dog Walkers Applicants Must Live in Elk Grove Looking for meaningful part-time work that fits around your classes? Get out from behind a desk, spend time with pets, and earn extra income while gaining valuable professional experience. Karla's Pet Care has been Elk Grove's trusted in-home pet sitting and dog walking company since 2004. We're looking for responsible, dependable college students who genuinely love animals and can commit to a consistent part-time schedule. No professional pet care experience? That's okay! We provide paid training to help the right people succeed. Available Shifts We're currently hiring for one or more of these time blocks: Morning Pet Sitters 7:00 AM-10:00 AM Midday Dog Walkers 10:00 AM-2:00 PM Afternoon & Evening Pet Sitters 4:00 PM-9:00 PM Some weekend and holiday availability is required. This position works especially well for students with online classes, flexible class schedules, or availability between classes. What You'll Do Visit pets in their homes throughout Elk Grove Walk dogs and provide exercise, playtime, and enrichment Feed pets and administer medications according to their care instructions Refresh food and water and clean up pet-related messes Help pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their families are away Take great photos and send reassuring visit updates through our app Build special relationships with pets who will be excited to see you Requirements To be considered, applicants must: Live within the city of Elk Grove Own a reliable vehicle that is available for every scheduled shift Maintain at least California's state-required automobile insurance Have a valid driver's license Be at least 18 years old Be available for at least 2 of our regular time blocks Be willing to commit to a dependable, ongoing work schedule Be available for some weekends and holidays Be comfortable driving between clients' homes Be comfortable using smartphone apps for scheduling, GPS, messaging, mileage tracking, and pet updates Be willing and able to pass a background check Applicants who do not live in Elk Grove or do not have their own properly insured vehicle cannot be considered.
