Duties Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, hair trimming, styling, and pet coat care tailored to each animal's breed and individual needs Handle animals safely and confidently using proper restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other hygiene maintenance tasks with precision and care Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences and provide recommendations for pet coat styling and overall care Assist with animal handling during grooming appointments, ensuring a calm environment for both pets and staff Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations, tools, and equipment to uphold health standards Support veterinary or kennel staff with animal handling or care tasks as needed, including light lifting of pets or supplies Skills Proven experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care roles such as veterinary technician or assistant Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures related to animal health and hygiene Strong animal handling skills with an emphasis on safety and restraint techniques for dogs, cats, or equine animals Excellent communication skills to engage with pet owners about grooming needs and animal behavior Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to move pets or equipment safely Customer service-oriented mindset to ensure a positive experience for clients and their pets Familiarity with kennel operations, pet sitting, and general animal care practices is a plus Join us in making every pet look fabulous while providing compassionate care!
