Every shift is about more than just scooping ice cream - it is about making someone's day a little sweeter. Our team is collaborative, upbeat, and committed to quality in everything we do, from the products we serve to the way we treat our guests and each other. The Opportunity As an Assistant Manager, you will be a key leader in the shop, running day-to-day operations while developing and motivating your team. This is a hands-on role where you will be on the floor, leading by example, solving problems in real time, and ensuring every guest has a great experience. This position is a strong step for someone who wants to build leadership skills, take on more responsibility, and grow toward becoming a Shop Manager. What You'll Do Lead, coach, and support scoopers and shift leads during both busy rushes and slower periods, keeping the team focused and energized. Oversee daily operations, including cash handling, inventory checks, scheduling, and opening/closing the shop to company standards. Set and model high expectations for friendly, efficient, and memorable guest service on every shift. Train and develop team members so they build skills, confidence, and a strong sense of teamwork and accountability. Represent the shop in the community, support events and promotions, and step up to run the shop when the Shop Manager is out. What Success Looks Like Within your first few months, you are confidently running shifts end-to-end, handling cash and inventory accurately, and keeping operations smooth and organized. Your team feels supported, understands expectations for performance and service, and looks to you for guidance, feedback, and problem-solving. Guest feedback is consistently positive, with any issues resolved quickly, professionally, and with a focus on turning experiences around. You actively contribute ideas to improve processes, grow sales, and strengthen team culture, clearly preparing yourself for future Shop Manager responsibilities. What We're Looking For Previous leadership or supervisory experience, ideally in food service or retail, where you have led shifts or small teams. Clear, respectful communication skills and the ability to stay calm, organized, and solutions-focused under pressure. Reliability, a positive attitude, and a strong sense of ownership for results, from guest satisfaction to team performance. A genuine drive to grow, take on more responsibility, and help others develop their skills and confidence. Compensation and Benefits $20-24 per hour (including tips). Free ice cream. Flexible schedules. Paid leadership training and a real growth path toward Shop Manager.
