What they do
An Animal Care Worker or Manager manages animal care and grooming for a retail store that sells pets or for a pet grooming business. May also provide animal care and grooming at a kennel. Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Providing care and supervision for dogs of all sizes and breeds in a fully interactive environment
- Assisting with check-ins, check-outs, and spa appointments
- Maintaining a clean and safe store environment
- Providing lots of love and attention to our furry guests
- Helping to manage daily operations of the facility
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 17 years old
- MUST have your own reliable transportation (this IS required)
- Must have open availability weekdays, weekends, and holidays for a total of 20-35 hours/week. Availability afternoons and evenings preferred.
- Must have a passion for working with dogs
- Previous experience working in a dog daycare or kennel is a plus
BUT NOT NECESSARY!
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and breeds
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a pack
- Willing to clean up after dogs all day long (You know what we mean)
