Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to animals in our facility. You will work closely with pets, ensuring their well-being and comfort while maintaining a clean and safe environment. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about animal care and have experience in handling dogs and other pets. Duties Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising. Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and other animal housing facilities. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff. Interact with pet owners, providing excellent customer service and answering any questions they may have. Support the grooming process when necessary to ensure pets are clean and well-kept. Assist in heavy lifting tasks related to moving animals or supplies as needed. Qualifications Strong skills in dog handling and general animal care practices. Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks associated with animal care duties. Experience with pet grooming is a plus but not required. Knowledge of animal restraint techniques to ensure safe handling of various breeds. A genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
