We are looking for someone who wants a long-term position, takes pride in doing their job correctly, and maintains a positive attitude in a busy environment. Experience working with dogs is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person who is responsible, willing to learn, and motivated to improve. Position Responsibilities Supervise dogs during group daycare play Monitor dog behavior and body language Help maintain a safe and controlled environment Stay calm and respond appropriately when dogs become overly excited or conflicts occur Clean and disinfect daycare areas, kennels, bowls, equipment, and common spaces Provide dogs with water, meals, medications, or other care as instructed Follow established safety procedures and daily routines Communicate concerns about a dog's behavior, health, or care Work efficiently and complete assigned responsibilities without constant supervision Assist other team members when needed The Right Person for This Position We are looking for someone who: Is reliable, dependable, and consistently arrives on time Has a strong work ethic and takes pride in their work Can remain calm in a loud, active, and fast-paced environment Has a positive attitude and works well with others Is comfortable working with dogs of different sizes, breeds, and personalities Pays attention to details and follows instructions Is willing to learn, accept feedback, and continue improving Takes initiative and looks for what needs to be done Can be trusted to complete responsibilities correctly Strives to be an A-level employee rather than doing the bare minimum Previous professional experience with dogs, boarding facilities, daycare facilities, shelters, veterinary clinics, grooming salons, or similar environments is preferred but not required. Important Position Expectations Working at a dog daycare involves much more than playing with dogs. Cleaning, organization, safety, observation, teamwork, and completing responsibilities efficiently are major parts of the position.
Applicants should be comfortable with:
Frequent cleaning and disinfecting Dog hair, barking, odors, drool, and occasional messes Standing and moving for most of the shift Bending, lifting, and handling active dogs Working both indoors and outdoors in different weather conditions Staying focused while supervising multiple dogs Schedule Full-time position Monday through Friday (8AM-11AM & 1PM-6PM) Exact daily hours will be discussed during the interview Reliable and consistent attendance is required We are hoping to find someone who wants to become a dependable, long-term member of our team.
