An Animal Care Worker or Manager manages animal care and grooming for a retail store that sells pets or for a pet grooming business. May also provide animal care and grooming at a kennel. Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

Job Description
Full Job Description Responsibilities:
- Basic care for dogs in the facility: feeding, pottying, cleaning and playing with dogs in the facility
- Communicate with team members on how dogs are doing in the facility
- Assist with bathing, drying and brushing dogs for the groomers
- Assist clients with appointments
- Lots and lots of cleaning, need strong attention to detail - this is a labor intensive job
Qualifications:
- Prefer previous experience with dogs but definitely not a requirement
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
- Must be available afternoons, weekends and some holidays
