Job Description

Pet Care Attendant Job Summary If you love animals, then this job is for you! Pet Care Attendants spend their days ensuring our furry guests receive the quality of care they deserve! You'll work as a team with other Pet Care Attendants and your managers to ensure our guests' environment stays clean and comfortable, all scheduled enrichment activities are completed, meals and medications are given, and regular potty breaks are provided. In addition, Pet Care Attendants help our pet parents out by letting them how their pet enjoyed their visit with us! What Petropolis Needs We are currently looking for applicants that: Love animals Can work shifts ranging from 6am to 9pm Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment Have strong communication skills Are available to work weekends and Holidays Are willing to embrace Pet Empowerment values
Essential Functions:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
These essential functions include:
Providing food and water to dogs and cats Monitoring group play Walking dogs on a leash Administering medications General cleaning of pet rooms and common areas Monitoring and recording health and behavior of pets Pleasantly interacting with pet owners Lifting up to 50+ pounds
Skills & Abilities Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent or higher
Customer Service:
Able to create pleasant interactions with customers
Pet Experience:
Past professional experience working with dogs and cats is strongly preferred Part-time available
Pay:
Our Pet Care Team Members earn $16.06 - $18.06/hour on average. This includes a minimum starting wage of $14.00/hour and tips of $2.06/hour on average. Petropolis will guarantee after tip earnings of $15/hour for team members at our starting rate. Wages are reviewed throughout the year and a bonus is paid if there is ever a shortfall.
