Pet Care Specialist Bijou's Pet Resort is seeking a mature and extremely committed full-time Pet Care Specialist to provide the very best love and care to dogs and cats (furry kids) staying and playing at our resort. Our ideal candidate is someone who loves, loves, loves animals and can provide the highest quality pet care while their parents are away! We expect you to provide a fun, safe, and clean environment for dogs and put customers at ease, assuring them that their pets will be in the best hands. This is both a difficult and amazing job and requires patience, strength, and hustle, hustle, hustle. Prior experience in animal care or kennel management is a plus! Bijou's strives for perfection every day. Duties and Responsibilities Give dogs food and water throughout the day Take dogs for walks Handle bathing and grooming tasks Clean and maintain rooms, keeping them free of waste, fur/hair, and other unsanitary or hazardous materials Supervise play areas to ensure pet safety Keep records of feeding and walking schedules for each dog Dedicate time to train dogs Review and understand all communications with team Take pictures and monitor progress using software and written procedures Dog Day Care Attendant Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or GED certificate At least 18 years old Prior experience at a dog daycare facility, shelter, or in personal animal care Familiarity with various dog breeds Passion for taking care of animals Teamwork and communication skills Physical stamina for cleaning and maintaining rooms We would love to have you join our team-we take care of those that work for us! Hours are approximately 6:30 a.m. until 12:30pm and 1:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. We have a "tuck-in" shift from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Availability on weekends and holidays is imperative!
