An Animal Care Worker or Manager manages animal care and grooming for a retail store that sells pets or for a pet grooming business. May also provide animal care and grooming at a kennel. Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

Saturdays:
Required — 7am-12pm & possibly 4pm-7pm
Sundays:
Required — we're closed to the public, but you'll come in for a quick morning and evening visit to feed, clean, and check on our guests (about 2 hours each) Bonus shifts (optional): Monday afternoons Friday afternoons Extra hours during holidays and busy seasons: April, July 4th week, Labor Day week, school breaks, Thanksgiving, and December 11-January 10 Extra credit (not required): Able to occasionally cover a weekday shift when our full-time manager is out.
