Experienced Dog Handler / Kennel Attendant

Job Description

5am -11am shift; Monday - Friday. Not a seasonal position; seeking mature long term, permanent employee Dependability is a MUST, we expect you for your shift, the dogs depend on you Local employees preferred, within 10-15 miles Salary based on experience Pawsitively Petastic Doggy Daycare & Boarding Located in Mahopac, NY 10541 Our dogs comfort, safety and wellness is our #1 goal and responsibility.
Requirements:
Must be confident & assertive handling of larger dogs. Comfortable being outside in all weather conditions.
Standing / Walking
for your shift. Ability to lead larger dogs. Excellent work ethic. Your team depends on you! Strong attention to doggy details required. Most importantly... loving, caring and attentive towards our furry friends.
Responsibilities:
Carefully observing & assessing behavioral patterns Utilizing various techniques to encourage positive play Basic command reinforcement; Redirect problematic behavior Feeding dogs; Attention to medication administration Disinfecting, sweeping and mopping

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
