While most of our rescue dogs are placed in foster care, we rent a private boarding facility to manage any overflow of dogs from puppy litters to adults. We are looking to hire part-time kennel techs to assist in caring for our canine residents, as well as cleaning and maintaining the boarding facility. We have 15 hours up for grabs, all evenings & weekends so it's the perfect opportunity to add some hours (+ get some dog time) to an existing work schedule. Applicants with the availably to work 1-2 weekend shifts will be prioritized. Education requirements : High school graduate or equivalent Skill requirements: Enjoy and have experience working with dogs under various circumstances. Be able to handle bending over, and heavy lifting - 40 + pounds.

Shift description:
Shift times are broken up into three hour periods, three times a day. Shifts are both during the week and on the weekends.
Weekday shifts available:
6:00-9:00 PM Weekend shifts: Morning shift: 7:30-10:30 am, Afternoon shift: 1:00-3:00 pm and Evening shift: 6:00-9:00 pm Applicants are required to be available for at least 1-2 weekend shifts. We can discuss some flexibility on timing, but consistency in the schedule is key!
Job description:
Walk adult dogs (in all weather). Change bedding of adult dogs and puppies. Clean up accidents as needed. Feed all residents, administer medication as needed. Monitor the health of all residents (ex. examining for physical deformities, weighing newborn puppies, listening for respiratory issues, etc). Clean and maintain the boarding facility (sweeping, mopping, disinfecting kennels). Laundry, organization, restock supplies and other menial tasks. Starting pay is $11.00 an hour with additional weekly bonuses when available. Raises available based on time with organization and performance reviews. We plan to conduct interviews on September 16.
