Healthy Hounds Hiking is hiring part-time team members to join our growing pack! At Healthy Hounds Hiking, we specialize in structured pack hikes and also offer daycare and boarding services. This role is ideal for someone who loves dogs, enjoys being outdoors (in all of the elements!), and wants consistent part-time work with the option to pick up extra shifts. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Dog Walker / Hiker to provide exceptional care and exercise for our clients' dogs. This role involves walking, hiking, and engaging with dogs of various sizes and temperaments in a safe and caring manner. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, experience with dogs, and enjoys hiking. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors, promote animal well-being, and build meaningful relationships with pets and their owners. Responsibilities Conduct daily walks and hikes with dogs, ensuring safety and adherence to individual needs and behavior cues Handle multiple dogs simultaneously, maintaining control and calmness during outings Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' activities and well-being Requirements Must be 18 years or older Genuine love for dogs and comfort handling multiple dogs at once Live within 15/20 minutes of our service area Valid driver's license, car insurance, and clean driving record Access to a reliable vehicle and comfortable transportation for dogs (seat protection and gear provided) Smartphone with an active data plan Physically able to hike 3 or more miles daily and lift dogs into vehicles Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Reliable, communicative, and a strong team player Looking for a long-term position; this is not seasonal work Driving record and background checks will be required for all qualified candidates. Schedule This position starts at two days, approximately 8- 16 hours per week, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts as they become available.
