Overview This is a part-time position with a full-time possibility. Wage will depend on availability and experience. Kennel Assistants are responsible for providing our boarding animals and daycare friends with a safe, clean, and fun environment!

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care for animals in the kennel, including feeding, watering, and cleaning
• Monitor the health and well-being of animals and report any concerns
• Handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments safely and effectively
• Provide exercise and playtime for dogs in outdoor areas
• Administer medications as directed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kennel facilities

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in animal care or a related field is preferred
• Strong customer service skills to interact with pet owners effectively
• Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments with confidence and care
• Familiarity with basic dog training principles is beneficial
• Comfortable with heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) for tasks such as moving supplies or restraining animals
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed

Requirements:

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in hot and cold weather.
• Ability to follow management instructions.
