Duties Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, hair trimming, coat styling, nail trimming, and ear cleaning with precision and care Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure their comfort and your safety during grooming procedures Provide pet care that promotes health and well-being, including basic veterinary-related tasks if applicable Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming needs, preferences, and after-care instructions to ensure satisfaction Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations and tools to uphold hygiene standards and prevent the spread of infections Assist with animal handling during intake and departure processes, ensuring smooth kennel or pet sitting transitions when needed Support team members with heavy lifting tasks such as moving equipment or large animals when necessary Experience Prior experience in pet grooming or dog styling is highly preferred; certification in pet grooming is a plus Background in veterinary settings such as veterinary technician experience or veterinary assistant roles enhances your ability to handle animals professionally Familiarity with dog training techniques and animal handling skills ensures safe and effective grooming sessions Experience working with various animals including dogs, cats, and equine (horses) demonstrates versatility in animal care Strong customer service skills to communicate clearly with pet owners and provide a positive experience for clients Knowledge of animal restraint methods, pet coat styling techniques, and pet nail trimming procedures is essential Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during busy grooming days Embark on a fulfilling career where your love for animals transforms into expert grooming artistry!
