As we prepare for an exciting new expansion to our second location in La Jolla, we are looking for a skilled, adaptable, and reliable On-Call / Coverage Esthetician to support our growing clientele and help keep operations running seamlessly at our Lemon Grove location. The Opportunity This is an On-Call / Float position designed to handle overflow booking days, step in when team members call out, and provide coverage during high-demand times. While this role starts on an as-needed basis, there is massive potential to transition into regular or part-time as our La Jolla location books up and our overall client demand continues to rise! Initially, your primary focus will be stepping in to deliver flawless sugaring services to our established clientele. As the role evolves and your schedule opens up, we will expand your service menu to include our signature customized facials, Hydrafacials, Glo2Facials, and more. Schedule & Availability Needs Because this is an on-call coverage role, flexibility is key . We are looking for someone with general availability during the following windows: 1-2 Weekdays (as needed for overflow or call-out coverage) Sundays (availability for weekend overflow/coverage)
On-Call Availability:
Willingness to step in with reasonable notice when coverage is required.
Note:
Hours will fluctuate based on client demand and team coverage needs, with immediate potential to turn into set weekly shifts as our volume increases. What You'll Do Step in smoothly to deliver high-quality, efficient body sugaring services (experience with Brazilian sugaring is a must). Provide reliable coverage on short notice for busy overflow days, sick calls, or planned staff time off. Maintain a clean, organized, sanitated, and welcoming treatment room. Educate clients on proper pre- and post-care routines and recommend appropriate retail products. Maintain our high standards of client care and bring positive energy to every shift. Eventually transition into performing customized facials as your role grows.
What We're Looking For Licensed Esthetician:
Must hold a valid California Esthetician License.
Sugaring Certification Required:
Certified in body sugaring by a reputable, recognized brand (e.g., Sugaring Source, Sweet & True, Tamara's Sugaring, etc.). You must know the foundational technique to hit the ground running.
Highly Flexible & Reliable:
Punctual, adaptable, and comfortable jumping right into a busy schedule on short notice.
Independent & Self-Motivated:
Able to hit the ground running with minimal hand-holding.
Low-Drama Team Player:
