Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Esthetician provides professional facial, waxing, and related skincare services to members and guests in accordance with spa protocols and California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology requirements. This role is responsible for ensuring exceptional client care, maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety, and supporting the overall success of spa operations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: Provide consistent, professional facials, waxing, and body treatments in compliance with spa protocols and licensing standards. Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and appointments; perform services within designated timeframes. Maintain flexibility with scheduling to meet the needs of members, guests, and the spa. Properly clean, maintain, and care for all tools and equipment; manage product usage to support cost controls. Educate clients on available spa services, recommended treatments, and home-care products. Actively promote and sell retail products, achieving or exceeding established sales goals. Maintain thorough knowledge of spa services, treatments, products, and promotions. Adhere strictly to California sanitation, disinfection, and sterilization requirements, as well as spa policies. Clean and restock work areas between appointments. Respond to client questions, requests, and concerns with professionalism and courtesy. Promote spa programs, seasonal packages, and special offers. Promptly communicate incidents, client concerns, or equipment issues to management. Participate in required training, staff meetings, and continuing education programs. Assist with general spa operations and support teammates as directed by management. QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Active California Esthetician License (must be maintained in good standing). Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a high-end day spa or resort preferred. Required Technical / Other Skills and Abilities Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Genuine care for client appearance, wellness, and experience. Strong attention to detail and precision in service delivery. Friendly, professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills. Strong communication and listening skills. Basic computer proficiency (scheduling, retail sales, client records). Ability to maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a supportive work environment.
