Job Description

Monroe Village is seeking a Laundry Aide to join our team! Monroe Village is a Springpoint Senior Living Community located in Monroe, NJ. We are currently in search of a part-time Laundry Worker to join our team. At Springpoint, our Laundry Workers are responsible for maintaining linen for all areas of the community and assure us that an adequate supply of linen is always on hand to meet the needs of the residents.
Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day laundry functions and specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments. Collect, sort soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc. and place in appropriate containers or assigned areas. Sort, count, and wash soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc. in accordance with established procedures. Fold, count, stack, hang and distribute clean laundry, linen, garments, etc. to residents daily and/or as instructed. During emergency situations, ensure that clean laundry, linen, garments, etc. are distributed to designated areas as instructed. Clean work area, supply carts, equipment, etc. as necessary/directed. Discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacle with plastic liner. Turn in all found articles to the Housekeeping Supervisor. Adhere to the infection control standards of the department.
Education and Experience:
