Job Description
Silver Creek Animal Clinic is looking for an experienced Full-Time Veterinary Assistant to join our team! At Silver Creek Animal Clinic, our veterinary assistants play a vital role in bringing comfort to our patients, while simultaneously working together to keep our facility operating efficiently. We rely on our assistants for a variety of day-to-day tasks, such as helping our veterinarians with patient examinations and treatments. If you are organized, quick on your feet, and can be flexible with a dynamic workday, we encourage you to apply! Responsibilities Client communication, accurate history taking Animal restraint Administer medications as directed by veterinarians Assist in cases of emergencies Client education Monitor recovery patients and/or anesthesia Maintain cleanliness of the building Misc. assigned tasks Skills Proven experience as a Veterinary Assistant Excellent communication skills Ability to take direction and learn new skills Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
