Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and maintaining a sterile environment. Perform animal restraint and handling with confidence to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Conduct laboratory work including blood draws, sample collection, and processing for diagnostic testing. Operate medical equipment such as X-ray machines, radiology diagnostics tools, and anesthesia monitoring devices accurately. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments following veterinary instructions while monitoring patient responses. Support emergency medicine cases by providing critical care, IV insertions, vascular access, and maintaining patient stability. Maintain detailed medical records using veterinary software and ensure all documentation complies with clinic standards. Assist with pet grooming, pet care routines, and client communication to promote pet health and owner education. Qualifications Proven kennel experience and animal husbandry knowledge with a passion for pet care. Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy to support clinical procedures effectively. Experience in veterinary critical care, anesthesia (including general anesthesia), and veterinary anesthesia monitoring is highly desirable. Skilled in IV insertion, animal catheterization, phlebotomy, and vascular access techniques. Ability to handle dogs confidently through dog training skills and animal restraint techniques. Laboratory experience including diagnostic radiology, radiology diagnostics, and pet grooming is preferred. Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
