At Mountainside Animal Hospital, we believe exceptional veterinary care begins with an exceptional team. Our privately owned hospital, opened in September 2021, is located just 30 minutes outside of Seattle in beautiful Maple Valley, WA. Our doctors bring over 50 years of combined veterinary experience and are committed to medical and surgical excellence in a warm, empathetic, and collaborative environment. We focus primarily on pet wellness with a strong emphasis on dentistry, while maintaining manageable caseloads and a true commitment to work-life balance. We recognize that our team is the foundation of not just our business, but our way of life — and we're excited to welcome a new Licensed Veterinary Technician to join us in this next phase of growth. About the
Role:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) who is passionate about patient care and excited to further develop their surgical and dentistry skills. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse and interesting cases while being supported by an exceptional team that values collaboration, leadership, and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide skilled nursing care to patients Assist in dentistry and surgical procedures Prepare animals and equipment for surgery Perform laboratory procedures Administer medications and vaccines as prescribed Educate pet owners on treatment plans and preventative care Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery Maintain accurate medical records Support a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment
What We're Looking For:
Active Licensed Veterinary Technician credential Strong general nursing skills and clinical competency Experience or strong interest in dentistry Leadership qualities and ability to mentor others Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek support Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Positive attitude and resilience when facing challenges Physically able to bend, kneel, stoop, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 40lbs We value team members who are adaptable, collaborative, and committed to achieving excellent results through mutual respect and teamwork.
