Job Description

Position OverviewA growing plaintiff-side employment law practice is seeking an Employment Litigation Attorney to advocate for employees whose workplace rights have been violated. This role involves representing clients through all stages of litigation involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour matters. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, strong communicator, and dedicated advocate who thrives in a collaborative, results-driven environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesHandle all aspects of employment litigation, including case strategy, discovery, and motion practiceRepresent clients in court proceedings, mediations, depositions, and arbitrationsDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, settlement agreements, and other litigation-related documentsCommunicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts throughout the litigation processManage an active caseload independently while collaborating with attorneys and support staffDevelop litigation strategies designed to achieve favorable outcomes for clientsAdvocate on behalf of employees in matters involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour violationsQualificationsActive California State Bar membership in good standing3 to 7 years of employment litigation or related civil litigation experienceStrong knowledge of California employment laws, including FEHA, CFRA, FMLA, and wage and hour regulationsExcellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skillsStrong communication, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentTrack record of independently handling litigation matters and managing a robust caseload
