This role is responsible for leading complex, high-stakes valuation engagements, serving as a trusted advisor to attorneys and clients, and managing teams across multiple matters. This position is ideal for individuals with deep experience in dispute-related valuations, including dissenting shareholder actions, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and economic damages analyses, who also have a proven ability to lead engagements, develop talent, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee valuation and damages engagements related to litigation, including shareholder disputes, dissenting shareholder actions, breach of fiduciary duty matters, and other complex commercial disputes Serve as the primary point of contact for attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders, providing strategic and technical guidance throughout the litigation process Develop and defend valuation analyses, including discounted cash flow models, market-based approaches, and other methodologies appropriate for litigation contexts Perform and oversee economic damages analyses, including lost profits, unjust enrichment, and other financial impact assessments Prepare and review expert reports, rebuttal reports, and other litigation-related deliverables Support deposition and trial preparation, including assisting counsel with expert testimony strategy and cross-examination preparation Manage engagement teams, including delegating work, reviewing analyses, and ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables under tight deadlines Oversee multiple engagements simultaneously, maintaining responsiveness to litigation timelines and evolving case dynamics Provide mentorship and professional development to junior team members, fostering technical growth and accountability Assist in business development efforts, including building relationships with law firms, participating in pitches, and expanding existing client relationships Contribute to the development of internal methodologies, best practices, and defensible frameworks for litigation and dispute-related analyses Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred 8+ years of experience in valuation, litigation support, economic consulting, or a related field Demonstrated experience in shareholder disputes, business valuation for litigation, and/or economic damages analysis Strong understanding of valuation theory and methodologies in a litigation context, including familiarity with relevant case law and standards Experience preparing expert reports and supporting deposition and trial processes Proven experience managing engagements and leading teams in a client-facing environment Exceptional financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly in both written and verbal formats, including to legal audiences High level of accountability, attention to detail, and intellectual curiosity Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Familiarity with or willingness to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and analytical workflows Professional designation required (e.g., ASA, CFA, CVA, ABV) Location Draper, UT or Dallas, TX Compensation Competitive base salary, performance-based bonus, health benefits, and matched 401(k).
