Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Transcribe and finalize dictated notes, letters, and legal documents for attorney review and use.
- Support attorneys with file management, scheduling, and the coordination of deadlines for personal injury and workers' compensation cases.
- Organize records, exhibits, and supporting documentation for hearings, depositions, and trial activities.
- File pleadings and other legal documents through electronic court filing systems in a timely manner.
- Maintain orderly case files and track status updates, outstanding items, and critical litigation dates.
- Communicate with courts, clients, and external parties as needed to help keep matters progressing efficiently.
