The Commercial Real Estate Paralegal is a substantive in-house role that sits at the intersection of real estate, business, and legal

  • supporting transactions from LOI through close while ensuring agreements, obligations, and deadlines are accurately managed across a growing multi-state portfolio.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

Review, draft, and provide support to senior management and attorneys in negotiating sophisticated commercial real estate transactions across multiple states

  • including leases, purchase and sale agreements, title documents, closing documents, letters of intent, and financings Administer template-based leasing and improvement-related agreements for senior management to review, negotiate, and approve final documentation Work closely with internal and external property management to ensure professional administration of all tenant-related agreements Maintain organized case files and transactional records within the company's contract management system and document depositories•tracking agreement statuses, expiration dates, renewal options, and key obligations Manage transaction timelines and maintain excellent communication with senior management, attorneys, lenders, title companies, and other parties Coordinate contract execution•managing signature workflows, maintaining executed agreement files, and ensuring proper document retention Provide due diligence support for real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financings, developments, and leasing matters•including organizing and reviewing transaction documents, coordinating with internal stakeholders and outside parties, and tracking closing deliverables Research state-specific real estate contracting requirements across all Swickard operating jurisdictions, as directed by in-house legal department Support senior management and the in-house legal department with additional transactional and corporate matters as directed
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

2+ years of paralegal experience in commercial real estate from an in-house legal department or law firm

  • required Experience reviewing, drafting, and supporting commercial real estate transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing transactions
  • required Paralegal certificate or related degree preferred Exceptional document management and organizational skills
  • able to manage multiple active matters simultaneously without losing accuracy or missing deadlines Excellent time-management and communication skills, with strong attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems Discreet, professional, and able to handle confidential business and transaction information with complete discretion
