Job Description

A Puyallup law firm specializing in real estate and commercial litigation is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal (5342) to join its collaborative team. The firm's practice includes representing manufactured home parks throughout Washington in matters involving landlord-tenant disputes, evictions, regulatory complaints, notices, and related litigation. With clients ranging from large real estate organizations to small, independently owned businesses, this role is well suited for a paralegal who enjoys substantive litigation work and communicating with a diverse client base. This is a full-time, in-office position in Puyallup with training and onboarding provided by a senior paralegal. Responsibilities Support attorneys throughout all phases of civil litigation. Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, petitions, motions for summary judgment, discovery responses, orders, and other litigation documents. Prepare and calendar motions, hearings, deadlines, and other case-related dates. Assist with discovery and prepare correspondence to courts, clients, opposing counsel, and other parties. Prepare motions and other substantive litigation materials for attorney review. Organize and prepare trial notebooks and supporting case materials. Manage client and case files, including maintaining accurate electronic records within the firm's case management system. Communicate professionally with clients of varying sizes and organizational structures. Assist with court filings and other litigation-related administrative needs. Manage multiple matters and deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail. Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other staff and assist with general office needs when necessary. Qualifications 2+ years of civil litigation paralegal experience. Experience with real estate and/or landlord-tenant litigation is a plus. Strong litigation drafting and document preparation skills. Experience with pleadings, motions, discovery, court filings, and litigation calendaring. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable communicating directly with a wide variety of clients, attorneys, courts, and vendors. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented small-firm environment. Willingness to assist across responsibilities as needed and contribute to the day-to-day operations of the firm. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with PracticeMaster and
TABS III
is a plus. Paralegal certificate or other paralegal education preferred but not required. Compensation $65,000-$85,000 annually, DOE.
