Electrical Contractor Per Diem:
Not available - local candidates only Medcor Safety, a subsidiary of Medcor, is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Professional for a short-term project in Marina del Rey, CA . This is an approximately 2-month assignment supporting an electrical contractor on a new construction project. You'll work directly with field personnel and site leadership to identify and address safety hazards, promote safe work practices, and help maintain compliance with project and regulatory safety requirements. If you have a strong construction safety background, enjoy being in the field, and are local to the Marina del Rey/Los Angeles area, we encourage you to apply. What You'll Do Conduct jobsite and crew safety audits to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and opportunities for improvement Work closely with field personnel and management to address safety concerns and corrective actions Promote, recognize, and reinforce safe work practices throughout the project Document and communicate findings from site safety audits Audit training records for field personnel Support compliance with federal, state, local, general contractor, owner, and site-specific safety requirements Review and assist with accident briefs, safety publications, bulletins, and reports Participate in the development and implementation of Site-Specific Safety Plans Participate in project kickoff meetings and ongoing safety meetings Review client and owner safety requirements and help ensure project compliance Build positive, professional relationships with field personnel, management, and outside agencies What You'll Need 5+ years of relevant construction safety experience OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required Current CPR/First Aid certification required Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and jobsite best practices Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to effectively work with field personnel and all levels of management Basic computer skills, including email, word processing, spreadsheets, and web-based systems Preferred Qualifications CHST certification
OSHA 500
certification Previous safety experience supporting electrical contractors New construction project experience Physical Requirements This position regularly requires standing, walking, bending, squatting, climbing stairs and ladders, and working on elevated platforms. Candidates must be able to safely navigate an active construction site and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
