• Job Title: Wire Harness Technician
• Job Description
• The Wire Harness Technician builds, assembles, installs, and modifies low-voltage test wiring and cabling for various electrical and network systems.

This role involves routing, crimping, terminating, and soldering low-voltage cables while following detailed wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions. The technician uses a variety of hand tools to ensure high-quality, reliable wiring harnesses that meet established standards and specifications.

• Responsibilities
• + Build and assemble low-voltage wiring harnesses and test wiring according to technical specifications and project requirements.

+ Install and modify low-voltage cabling, ensuring proper routing, crimping, termination, and soldering for secure and reliable connections.

+ Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions to accurately complete wiring and harness assembly tasks.

+ Utilize hand tools and related equipment to perform wiring harness assembly, cable preparation, and installation activities safely and efficiently.

+ Perform crimping, soldering, and termination of wires and connectors in accordance with applicable standards and best practices.

+ Work with low-voltage wiring and routing for electrical and network cabling systems, including structured network cabling and access control systems.

+ Support network device installation by preparing and connecting wiring and cabling as required.

+ Follow quality assurance procedures to verify that wiring harnesses, terminations, and installations meet quality and performance standards.

+ Collaborate with team members and follow documented processes to complete projects within established timelines.

+ Handle materials and equipment safely, including the ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed during assembly and installation work.

• Essential Skills
• + Hands-on experience with wire harness assembly, including building and assembling wiring harnesses for low-voltage systems.

+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.

+ Strong skills in crimping, soldering, and termination of low-voltage wiring and connectors.

+ Experience with low-voltage wiring and routing for electrical and network cabling applications.

+ Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively for wiring, assembly, and installation tasks.

+ Familiarity with wiring harnesses, wiring schematics, and basic electrical concepts.

+ Experience with network cabling and wiring, including structured network cabling.

+ Ability to perform quality assurance checks on wiring assemblies and installations.

+ Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds as required for assembly and installation work.

• Additional Skills & Qualifications
• + Experience working with access control systems and related low-voltage wiring.

+ J-STD-001 certification or experience working to

J-STD-001

soldering standards.

+ Experience with network device installation, including cabling and basic setup.

+ General familiarity with electrical systems and components in a low-voltage environment.

• Work Environment
• This role operates on a first-shift schedule, typically from 9:00 a.

m. to 5:00 p.m., providing consistent daytime hours. The position is structured as a contract-to-hire opportunity over approximately six months, allowing time to demonstrate skills and fit within the team. Work is performed in a technical environment that involves regular use of hand tools, electrical and network cabling, and wiring harness assembly equipment. The technician will handle low-voltage electrical components and network devices and should be comfortable working in a production or lab-style setting where attention to detail, safety, and adherence to procedures are essential.

• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $28.

00 - $28.00/hr.
