1 Description American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Occupational Health position requiring a CA RN license and at least one year of acute care experience. Details Occupational Health department setting within a hospital-affiliated clinic Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM May occasionally need to adjust start times earlier to accommodate night shift coverage May be required to work a weekend shift during flu season Reports directly to the Chief Human Resource Officer Requirements Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted) BLS certification required BSN required Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience required Candidates for specialized units must have at least 1 year of full-time equivalent experience in that specialty within the past 2 years EMR/charting system experience required (any system accepted) Two supervisor references required Skills include patient assessment, lab result interpretation, medication reconciliation, vital signs, specimen collection, phlebotomy, and telephone triage Additional Information Responsibilities include occupational health assessments, medication reconciliation, specimen collection, wound care, and patient triage Duties also include follow-up calls, referrals, scheduling, and coordination with pharmacy for refill requests Handles infectious disease and influenza-related patient care Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate Previous employees must have been separated for a minimum of 1 year before returning as a traveler Manager may or may not conduct an interview prior to placement No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract preferred, with no RTO permitted in the first two weeks of assignment
