The position will focus on a 1- to 2-year project. This individual works directly with the project team to ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures. Position Details Also working closely with the Risk Management Department to mitigate claims by ensuring Safety is a priority on the project. Reporting directly to the Regional Safety Director or Regional Safety Manager, the Site Safety Manager administers the Clune Safety Policy and provides direction for the Clune Safety Program. Responsibilities Safety Work with the project team and Regional Safety Director or Manager to ensure safety programs and protocols for the project meet and/or exceed client safety requirements. Provide updated safety statistics for client upon request. Act as an internal consultant to all company business units with respect to safety. Ensure all required client safety documentation has been provided to our trade partners. Review, audit and file all required client safety documentation. Coordinate Provide safety guidance in the planning stages for project. Coordinate, manage and/or conduct safety education programs for Clune Management, Supervision, and Employees. Attend and contribute to company and project safety meetings. Compliance Ensure Clune employee, trade partner, visitor and vendor compliance with Clune safety guidelines, project requirements, local, state, and national regulations. Performance Attend outside training for added designations and to keep up with changes in the industry. Role model professionally for Clune employees, trade partners, visitors and vendors. Requirements Skills Mentoring skills to foster the growth of fellow Clune employees' safety knowledge. Desire and ability to work in team-focused environments, act as internal point of contact for Clune on safety-related items and external collaborator to develop industry best practices. Strong planning skills to organize weekly and daily schedules that may involve a combination of meetings, walk-throughs, etc. Education Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and health or related field; or equivalent combination of 5-10 years' education and experience. Communication Strong communication and interpersonal skills that will be utilized to hold discussions with various members of Clune and/or trade-partner communities, ranging from field employees to executives. Certification Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification. Construction - OSHA 30-hour certification, preferred. Knowledge Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety standards. Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
