Job Summary A Field Safety Manager protects workers, equipment, and assets by enforcing compliance with safety protocols on project sites. They conduct routine site inspections and investigate incidents. Key Responsibilities Identify and assess job site hazards before work begins. Enforce OSHA and MSHA regulatory compliance across all field operations. Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and draft detailed Incident Reports within 24 hours. Administer post-accident and random drug and alcohol tests. Conduct daily safety audits to check tools, machinery, and equipment. Write comprehensive Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and tracking forms for high-risk tasks. Facilitate safety meetings and toolbox talks. Must be able to work shoulder to shoulder with safety team and Project Managers. Qualifications & Requirements Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS) or equivalent certification required, or must possess the ability to obtain it within the first 6 months of employment. Extensive knowledge of OSHA Construction, General Industry, and MSHA standards. First Aid and CPR certifications. Excellent communication, public speaking, and technical writing skills. High attention to detail to capture precise data during investigations. Work Environment & Travel Requires significant time walking and standing on active job sites. Expect exposure to varied weather conditions and industrial environments. Frequent travel (60% to 90%) between various regional work sites.

Pay:

$65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
