Respond with Compassionate Action Samaritan's Purse is seeking an On-Call Security Officer to serve at our Ministry Center located in Baltimore, MD. In this role, you will have the opportunity to serve in an on-call capacity as coverage for our full-time Security Officers. You will be given the responsibility to protect the safety and well-being of all persons and property at your assigned Samaritan's Purse location. This is an incredible opportunity to serve alongside Samaritan's Purse and ensure we can operate safely and continue to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the role of On-Call Security Officer , you will have the opportunity to: Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ Provide a professional, visible security presence that helps deter undesirable activity while warmly greeting staff and visitors and supporting a safe, welcoming ministry environment. Protect campus access and facilities by screening pedestrian and vehicle traffic, verifying authorization, controlling after-hours access, and opening, closing, and securing buildings according to established procedures. Monitor and respond to security concerns through regular physical patrols and video surveillance, identifying threatening individuals, reporting hazardous conditions, and contacting local law enforcement or emergency personnel when needed. Operate security and life-safety systems, including card access, fire and burglar alarms, video surveillance equipment, and ministry vehicles, to help safeguard staff, visitors, facilities, and ministry operations. Maintain strong situational awareness and accountability by knowing Samaritan's Purse facilities, policies, and procedures and accurately documenting noteworthy activity, incidents, and required shift information. Other duties may be assigned that are not specifically identified in the job description. What are the qualifications? Serve with Excellence As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience: Associate's degree and a minimum of five (5) years of leadership or management experience in law enforcement and/or military or Department of Corrections; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
