Job Description Position Summary:
Support theUSARCENT
Special Security Officer (SSO) in managing Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), SCIF security, personnel access, physical security, information security, and related special-security activities in a dynamic operational environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Support the command SSO with personnel access verification and special-security clearance actions.
- Provide day-to-day physical-security support including badging, access control, and visitor control.
- Maintain current SCIF documentation and support compliance with applicable Intelligence Community Directives, Security Executive Agent Directives, 32 CFR Part 117, and Security Classification Guides.
- Validate SCI access and access requirements; support SCI processing, nomination interviews, and security briefings.
- Support incoming and outgoing visit certifications, foreign-travel reporting, and classification guidance.
- Investigate security incidents and prepare required reports.
- Ensure SCI material is properly controlled, transmitted, transported, safeguarded, and destroyed.
- Assist with
ICD 705 SCIF
builds and modifications as required.- Coordinate with
ISSO/ISSM
personnel on management of TS information systems and networks.- Operate DISS and, as authorized, Scattered Castles and Full-Service Directory security-management functions.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Special Security Representative or Special Security Officer.
- At least 3 years of full-time SCIF experience covering personnel, physical, and information security disciplines.
- Successful completion of the National Counterintelligence and Security Center Special Security Officer Course (SSOC) or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently and apply a broad range of security principles, concepts, practices, products, and services.
- Experience with a COCOM or Army Service Component Command environment.

- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform contract requirements and communicate effectively with Government and contractor personnel.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and conduct appropriate to a U.S. Army headquarters environment.
- Must comply with applicable security, information-assurance, training, access, and contractor-identification requirements.
