A Security Officer provides security for property at hospitals, hotels, warehouses or office buildings. Monitors entrances and patrols buildings, watches for intruders or vandals; reports building maintenance problems; deals with customers or visitors that create a disturbance in the building.

Location:
Rockville, VA As a Security Specialist, you will monitor campus activity, control access to facilities, respond to security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to employees and visitors.
Responsibilities:
Monitor campus grounds, buildings, and access points to help maintain a safe and secure environment. Conduct routine patrols of assigned areas Observe and report suspicious activities, safety hazards, and policy violations. Verify identification and issue visitor badges in accordance with security procedures. Screen and assist visitors, contractors, and vendors entering campus property. Respond appropriately to emergencies, alarms, medical incidents, and security concerns. Complete detailed incident and activity reports accurately and promptly. Monitor security systems, cameras, alarms, and communication equipment. Provide excellent customer service by assisting employees, guests, and visitors with questions or directions.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in stressful situations. Professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Basic computer proficiency for report writing and security systems. Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
