PURPOSE:

As a team member of the manufacturing operations, a Loader Operator assists the welders in building helical screw piles by offloading raw materials as they arrive, completing yard organization, moving raw materials into the shop and on loading completed piles to both internal and external trailers. Coordinates with manufacturing staff for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently and effectively. Assists other team members as required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.

DUTIES:

• Operate a frontend loader in the manufacturing yard to unload raw materials, organize materials and product and load finished product on trailers
• Determine space requirements and position of shipment on trailers to ensure compliance with shipping specifications
• Maintain and care for company equipment by completing all required pre-use inspections, completing greasing and lubing as required and reporting equipment deficiencies
• Complete general housekeeping and organizing of the yard and the frontend loaders
• Liaise with production to ensure pipe and plate are supplied to the manufacturing shop to meet production requirements
• Operate company loader in a safe, professional and courteous manner
• Load customer ordered screw piles to customer trailers in a safe and professional manner
• Comply with company safe work practices and procedures
• Other related duties as required

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Prior experience operating equipment such as a frontend loader or a forklift
• Prior experience loading/unloading pipe considered an asset

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma
• Driver's license with a clean drivers abstract
• Frontend Loader Certification
• Ability to complete pre-employment testing, including but not limited to a medical questionnaire, drug and alcohol testing and a 50 lbs.

• Fast paced high volume manufacturing facility and yard
• Manufacturing environment typical of industrial metal manufacturing

• Temperatures contingent upon weather

Pay:

$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
