As a Truck Shop Mechanic , you'll help keep our transportation fleet operating at its best by maintaining and repairing trucks, refrigerated trailers, food-grade tankers, and forklifts that keep our products moving. What You'll Do Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair trucks, refrigerated trailers, food-grade tanker trailers, forklifts, and other transportation equipment. Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and advanced mechanical repairs to ensure equipment operates safely and reliably. Conduct diagnostic testing to identify worn or damaged components and recommend appropriate repairs, including warranty-related work. Coordinate repairs with outside service providers, monitor repair progress, and communicate updates with internal teams. Maintain parts inventory, create purchase and work orders, and ensure accurate maintenance records in compliance with DOT and FMCSA requirements. Promote a safe work environment while supporting fleet reliability and continuous improvement initiatives. What You'll Bring Technical certificate in Diesel Technology, Heavy Equipment Repair, Automotive Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 3-5 years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy trucks, trailers, forklifts, or commercial fleet equipment. Class A CDL , Air Brake Certification and Forklift Repair required upon hire . Tanker Endorsement and Forklift Certification preferred. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, brakes, suspension, electrical systems, hydraulics, and preventive maintenance practices. Experience using diagnostic equipment, hand and power tools, welding equipment, and shop machinery. Ability to read repair manuals, inspection reports, and technical documentation while maintaining accurate maintenance records. Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
