POSITION OVERVIEW
- The Avionics Engineer supports the development and integration of aircraft avionics systems within full-flight simulators and training devices.
- This role involves hands-on work with avionics systems, supporting system design, integration, testing, and customer delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, implement, and document avionics systems for flight simulation applications
- Integrate avionics systems including FMS, navigation, communication, and autopilot systems
- Execute system validation including normal, abnormal, and emergency procedures
- Troubleshoot integration issues across hardware and software
- Support simulator certification and customer acceptance activities
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Avionics, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience
- Working knowledge of aircraft avionics systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and system diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with flight simulators or training devices
- Familiarity with Collins Pro Line or Garmin avionics systems
- Experience with system integration and testing
- Understanding of FAA or aviation regulatory environments
