Job Description
This is a temp to permanent hire position. We are currently seeking a skilled, well rounded, Maintenance Mechanic to join our client's team. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of machinery and mechanical equipment within our facilities.
POSITION SUMMARY
To assist in maintaining plant equipment and facilities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Repairs and maintains plant equipment. Troubleshoots and repairs electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Performs regularly scheduled maintenance and PM's
- Assists operators with machine troubleshooting and set up as necessary.
- Assists in procurement and storage of repair parts.
- Installs equipment within the plant.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, machine and motor control systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and welding.
- Good mechanical skills and aptitude.
- Positive attitude and ability to learn.
- Ability to run maintenance and machine shop equipment such as a lathe, saw, mill, drill press, etc
- Ability to weld and fabricate
- Ability to understand all safety operating procedures and to use all safety features of the equipment.
- Ability to obtain a forklift license.
