JOB SUMMARY
Facilities Maintenance Technician Under the direction of the Facilities and Land Supervisor, the Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, upkeep, and general maintenance across all Tribal properties. Additionally, this role involves the maintenance and repair of all Coyote Valley Tribal facilities and lands, including various building and land maintenance tasks. All duties must be performed in compliance with Coyote Valley policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards, and organizational objectives while upholding the Mission, Vision, and Values of Coyote Valley.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspect for potential issues, perform minor repairs, troubleshoot malfunctions, maintain equipment, and clean facilities. Maintain the appearance of outdoor spaces by trimming lawns, removing weeds, tending to flower beds, trimming shrubs, and raking as needed. Ensure the safety of the grounds and facilities by proactively identifying and addressing potential hazards. Provide suggestions and feedback to management to improve the safety and visual appeal of the property. Operate power tools, lawnmowers, leaf blowers, power washers, and other equipment safely and efficiently to complete maintenance tasks. Follow all established safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure working environment. Respond as needed in the event of disaster. Assignments may not align with normal job duties. Accurately complete and submit all required paperwork in a timely manner. Attends essential training as needed. Consistently provide exceptional customer service to guests and team members, representing Coyote Valley in a friendly and professional manner while adhering to guest service standards. Available to work overtime, weekends, and evenings if needed. Provide support with event set-up and clean-up. Maintain professional behavior with a positive representation of Coyote Valley while on and off the clock. Must maintain strict confidentiality during and after employment. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications To successfully perform this job, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. High School Diploma is required. A valid California Driver's License with reliable transportation and insurability is required and must be maintained. Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance experience, including the operation of lawnmowers, leaf blowers, power washers, or similar equipment. Strong guest service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively with guests. Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously. Experience preferred in carpentry, building maintenance, electrical work, plumbing, and construction. Knowledge of landscaping, including irrigation installation and maintenance is preferred. Must demonstrate integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
The physical requirements for this position are representative of those necessary to successfully perform the essential job functions. Employees must regularly stand, walk, sit, and lift up to 50 lbs. Additionally, they must use their hands and fingers to handle or manipulate objects, tools, or controls. The work environment varies depending on the task. The noise level is typically moderate but can become loud when working on the casino floor. Employees must be able to work in a high-intensity environment that requires a strong level of concentration to effectively carry out job duties. Other Must pass pre-employment drug testing (for illegal drugs) and a criminal background investigation. Preference in filling vacancies is given to qualified member of the Coyote Valley of Pomo Indian Tribe or Must be sensitive to the needs of the Indian community, their culture and traditions.
