We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and service-oriented Maintenance Engineer to help maintain our property and ensure a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and team members. The ideal candidate will have experience in hotel maintenance, building systems, and preventative maintenance and take pride in delivering high-quality work. Position Summary The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections throughout the hotel. This position supports the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of guest rooms, public spaces, and building equipment. Essential Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on guest rooms, public areas, and hotel equipment Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and mechanical systems Conduct routine inspections to identify safety hazards and maintenance needs Complete guest room repairs, including painting, carpentry, and fixture replacement Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work records Assist with vendor visits and contracted repair work as needed Support hotel safety, fire prevention, and emergency response procedures Maintain compliance with all OSHA and company safety requirements Participate in on-call and weekend coverage as required Qualifications Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred General knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems Ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs independently Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent guest service and communication skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work including climbing ladders, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays What We Offer Competitive pay Employee hotel discounts Paid sick time and other applicable benefits Growth opportunities within Somnium Hospitality Group Supportive and team-oriented work environment Maison Twenty Seven is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
